RECOFTC in Nepal

RECOFTC in Nepal

Nepal’s community forestry experience provides a rich source of learning for other countries, yet at the same time a site where learning from other countries and further innovation can take place. RECOFTC does not pretend to be a major community forestry development service provider, but can add value to national service providers by imparting a broader learning experience of community forestry from across the region and beyond through which Nepali practitioners can better contextualize their own experiences.

RECOFTC will also introduce and pilot new ideas and approaches to CF management, and where these are successful, will encourage their uptake more broadly through partner organizations, particularly those involved with the Multi-Stakeholder Forestry Programme and Hariyo Ban Program to take community forestry to the next level.
