Since 2009, the Grassroots Capacity Building for REDD+ in Asia project has been actively working with grassrots stakeholders in five countries in the region - Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal and Viet Nam. Applying equitable and inclusive approaches, the project partnered with grassroots community and CSOs to raise awareness about climate change, REDD+ and how sustainable forests management can be effective to mitigate impacts of climate change. In its third and final phase, the project has gathered lessons learned and, most importantly, perspectives from the grassroots stakehodlers on how to improve strategies and activities for future grassroots and climate change-related projects and implementations.
