Activities on social forestry through Extension activities to generate awareness towards nature among the populace. Strategic actions incorporated into the part and recreational forest areas, rehabilitation of wasteland and degraded land, and environment protection strategies.

Activities implemented for the Heart of Borneo Initiatives include the establishment of a National Council and the development of a Project Implementation Framework.

Activities proven to be useful in relevance with country social forestry priorities:

1. Annual Research-based Program in nature Science for Secondary School Students. Apart from Providing students with basic platform and exposure in the field of research, this program also aims to inculculate awareness towards the environment among the younger generation.
