Calling all Indonesian youth!

🌳 Let’s celebrate the Biodiversity and Environmental Day in Indonesia 2024 on 22 May and 5 June with us on our Facebook page and X.

We are hosting a two-week-long competition to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our biodiversity and environment to mitigate climate change. .

Choose your photo themes:

• Youth and Indonesia's biodiversity

As young people who are active and care about the environment, through this theme, you can explore, immortalize and celebrate Indonesia's natural riches through the lens of a camera. Show your involvement in conservation activities, nature research and education, or simply enjoying the natural beauty of Indonesia. Share your photos that depict positive interactions between young people and the environment, showing efforts to protect the environment and natural beauty.

• Indonesia greens and the life it preserves

This theme invites young Indonesians to immortalize the natural beauty of Indonesia, including flora, fauna and human interactions with the environment. Share your photos depicting Indonesia's stunning greenery and its life, be it plants, animals, or human activities that are in harmony with nature and preserve the environment, such as planting trees or cleaning the surrounding environment.

Terms and conditions

1. You are an Indonesian between 17-35 years old and reside in the country.
2. Like our Facebook page and follow us on Facebook and X: RECOFTC-Indonesia and @RECOFTCIndo.
3. Post a photo of your actions in preserving your environment and biodiversity. For example: a picture of you planting a tree or a picture of you taking care of the forests/environment and complete the photo with captions.
4. Tag Facebook @RECOFTC-Indonesia and X @RECOFTCIndo in your photo caption.
5. Use these hashtags in your caption: #HariKeanekaragamanHayati #HariLingkunganSedunia #Indonesia #RECOFTC
6. Fill in this form FORMULIR PENDAFTARAN after your post. 
7. Photo can be taken by cellphone, camera or drone with resolution no less than 1280x960  pixel. 
8. Post and submit as many photos as you like between 23 May and 8 June but each submission cannot be a photo collage/composite/montage.
9. Photos included in the competition are photos that have never been entered in a photography competition, are original personal work, and participants must take full responsibility for the work submitted.
10. Photos that have been sent become the property of RECOFTC and can be freely used while providing credit and copyright to the photographer.
11. Only 5 winners, who reside in Indonesia, will be selected and announced by 10-11 June on our Facebook and X RECOFTC Indonesia: RECOFTC-Indonesia and @RECOFTCIndo 

Photo score criteria

1. The harmonization and depth of the photo to theme elements with complete caption and hashtags (35%).
2. Photo composition (25%).
3. Photo angle, moment of the capture and lightning (20%).
4. Creativity (20%).
