Internship Program
RECOFTC provides internships for recent college graduates, preferably from a RECOFTC focal countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Nepal, Myanmar and Lao PDR), who have a passion for supporting the participation of local communities in forest management in Asia and the Pacific.
The internship program aims to enhance work experience through practical assignments to further the intern’s professional career in the development sector. The program is tailored to fit both the organization’s needs and interns’ individual needs, skills and career goals. Possible tasks may include supporting a RECOFTC thematic area and/or functional area: securing community forestry, enhancing livelihood and markets, people, forests and climate change, transforming forest conflicts, research, and/or strategic communication. The required qualifications vary depending on the position.
Internships normally have a length of six to twelve months and may begin at any time throughout the year. The program is available both at our headquarters in Thailand and at our country offices in Cambodia, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Nepal, Myanmar and Lao PDR. Internships are on a voluntary basis with small allowances provided.
