Forests have been decimated world over, causing communities who live at their edges and beyond to suffer from loss in ecosystem services and climate change. In a world where 90 percent of the world’s poorest people rely on forests for their livelihoods, community forest enterprises can add the economic benefits needed to conserve forests, mitigate and adapt to climate change while lifting people out of poverty.

Join RECOFTC at COP 25 in Madrid at this official side event to find out about successful cases of community forest enterprises, new businesses and business models that can source from the enterprises and support their growth, and new ways of tracing and certifying the derived products to build consumer confidence.
