Gender mainstreaming training with blended e-learning system
The Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry, through the Center of Environment and Forestry Human Resource Education and Training (CEFHERT), has carried out various activities to increase understanding of gender mainstreaming for all Ministry of Environment and Forestry State Civil Apparatuses (ASN). One of those activities is the preparation of a curriculum for gender mainstreaming training. There are two curriculums developed to implement gender mainstreaming: the curriculum for e-learning method for gender mainstreaming training and another curriculum for gender-responsive forest farmer group training.
The first curriculum for e-learning gender mainstreaming training was conducted in February 2022 and aimed to obtain input from all participants on the teaching materials. Based on input from that training, there have been many changes in the gender mainstreaming training module to improve the content.
Using that improvement on the training module, there will be a follow-up activity to prepare teaching materials for the massive open online course (MOOC) system. The next training will be conducted on January 27-31 2023 with a blended system, which is a combined training system online and face-to-face.
Objectives of this follow-up training are:
a. To prepare gender mainstreaming modules as teaching materials using the MOOC system;
b. Ensuring the readability of teaching materials and questions that will be used within the MOOC system;
c. Designing the creation of MOOC for gender mainstreaming issue.
