Social and knowledge diversity in forest education: Vital for the world’s forests
A global assessment of tertiary, vocational and technical forest education revealing significant gaps in curricula. The inclusion of traditional and Indigenous knowledge is limited, while cultural considerations, social issues and forest services remain largely underrepresented. If left unaddressed, these gaps risk producing forest professionals unfamiliar with diverse knowledge systems and the importance of inclusive representation.
