Stories of Change

This video offers a glimpse into the lives of two leaders of the Anlung Village commune, who are working to protect the forest together with their own communities and the other communities in regional community forest network in Pursat Province. They bring us on a night patrol of the local forest, and discuss what the forest means to them and why it’s important. The Anlung Village commune is part of a network of 16 communities in Pursat province, Cambodia, that have linked together to form the area’s first community forestry network. The network offers a way for communities to share information and discuss how to work together to resolve forest conflicts, such as through joint forest patrols aimed at preventing and addressing illegal logging and forest encroachment.
