Session 3: Making cooperation work

Cooperation in action

19 June 2019 | 11:00-12:30

“Making cooperation work” explores the existing mechanisms that link regional, national and subnational platforms together by expanding upon sessions 1 and 2. To build resilient landscapes and communicate the importance of people-centered forestry, existing networks for learning and political advocacy must be used.

Of particular importance for session 3 are the links between policy and practice in people-centered forestry, the role of the private sector in social forestry management, and a multi-sectoral approach in the Asia-Pacific Region.

This session will incorporate lessons learned from participants to strengthen multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral cooperation, focusing on the importance of inclusion and participation.
